RH - LED Board Replacement

The LED board is a replaceable part that can be changed with a few simple steps. To purchase these kits, find an authorized FX Luminaire distributor near you using our interactive Distributor Lookup.

Tools Required:

  • #2 Philips screwdriver
  • 4 mm Allen key
  • Soft-edged pry device (e.g., small flathead screwdriver)

Step 1

Turn OFF power to the fixture completely before disassembling. 

Step 2

Remove the TWO SCREWS from the faceplate with a 4mm Allen key. 

Step 3

Unfasten the FOUR SCREWS, and remove the body from the faceplate. Be sure not to damage the lens assembly.

Step 4

Remove the TWO SCREWS holding the LED board in place. 

Step 5

Remove the LED BOARD by using a small, soft-edged pry device to gently lift one side of the board. Ensure the metal surface from which the LED was removed is clear of debris or residual thermal pad material.

Step 6

Once the LED board is successfully removed, perform this procedure in reverse to install the replacement LED board. Not all boards will fit in every fixture, so ensure the fixture can accommodate the selected board prior to maintenance. Also, remove any residue left on the fixture from the old LED board prior to installation of the new one. A pink-colored thermal pad is attached to the bottom of all FX Luminaire LED boards and should be left in place. Compatible LED boards for this fixture include ZDCKITM (COLOR), KITZD1LEDRDW-KITZD3LEDRDW (ZD), and KIT1LEDRDW-KIT3LEDRDW (zoning).

When using a Luxor® Controller with assigned group numbers, you'll need to assign a group number to the new LED board. You can do this in two ways:

  1. If a Wi-Fi Module and Light Assignment Module are installed, you can easily assign a group number with the fixture installed. Learn more
  2. If a LAM is not installed, bring the fixture back to the Luxor Controller to program the group number. Learn More
