Developing a house of this size in such an ornate location created great frustrations with the building architects, frustrations because there were too many options on which way it should face. Some similar concerns were expressed when it came time to light the acre and a half property. Lighting architect Matt Marvell of Orion Lighting and Design reassured the Kessner's that he would have no problem identifying the highlights of the property.
With such an expansive property Matt used more then seven different variations of FX LED and incandescent fixtures. Like any design the owner wanted to see the extent of the property while not diminishing light from popular entertainment areas. Up lights were used on the pines towards the back of the property to stretch the eye from perimeter to perimeter, while down lights were used on the poolside arbor to address safety concerns with the children.
Utah having the dramatic climate changes from summer to winter, the lighting architect had to take into account that there may be more then a foot of snow on the ground at any given time in the winter. To combat this up light riser assemblies reach above the snow packs to deliver the light where it's needed during winter.
Winter or summer, through snow and rain FX lighting stands out among the competition as a proven leader in durability and prestige.
