PA-40/60: LED Replacement

Replacing the LED board in Pinnacle™ PA-40/60 Accent Light fixtures is simple: remove a few components, unplug the old board from its socket, and install a new one. While it's not difficult, do it carefully to avoid damaging the fixture's parts or wiring.

There are a couple of common reasons a lamp might need replacing:

  • Burnout or failure: Although LED boards have a long lifespan, they can still fail due to overheating from an electrical surge or water intrusion.
  • Flickering: If the lamp light starts to flicker, it may not indicate a faulty lamp; we advise proper testing before replacement. Learn More

1

Tools required: #2 Phillips screwdriver and a soft-edged pry device, such as a small flathead screwdriver.

2

Turn off the Power to the lighting transformer before disassembling the fixture.

3

Remove the Lens Cap Assembly by twisting counterclockwise, then set it aside.

4

Remove the Beam Angle Lens by turning it counterclockwise and lifting it off the reflector.

5

Remove the Screws holding the reflector and LED board in place. Set the reflector aside.

6

You can now remove the LED board. Using a small, soft-edged pry tool, gently lift up one side of the board. Make sure the base of the reflector, where the LED was removed, is free of any debris or leftover thermal pad material.

7

Once the LED board has been removed, reverse the removal steps to install the replacement board. Before starting, confirm that the fixture is compatible with the selected LED board, as not all boards fit every fixture. Remove any residue left by the old board to ensure a clean surface for installation. Each FX Luminaire LED board includes a thermal pad on the bottom — do not remove it. For a complete list of compatible LED boards, visit each parts list page.

8

Turn clockwise and hand-tighten the Beam Lens Assembly until it reaches the endpoint. The Infinity Screw™ design lets you position the lens assembly in any direction once it's secured.
