Replacing the LED lamp in the Cora™ CA-73 uplight fixture involves removing a few parts, disconnecting the old board from the socket, and installing a new compatible lamp. It’s a straightforward task but requires care to avoid damaging components or wiring.
A lamp might need to be replaced for a couple of reasons:
- Burnout or failure: Although LED lamps have a long lifespan, they can still fail due to overheating from an electrical surge or water intrusion.
- Flickering: If the lamp light starts to flicker, it may not indicate a faulty lamp; we advise proper testing before replacement. Learn More
Tools required: You'll need a small Phillips screwdriver.
Turn off the power to the lighting transformer before disassembling the fixture.
To remove the shroud, twist counterclockwise to unlock.
Remove the gasket and hex assembly and set aside. Carefully pull the PAR-36 lamp outward.
Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the two screws on each side of the cable assembly.
Once the PAR-36 lamp has been removed, reverse the removal steps to install the replacement lamp. For a complete list of compatible lamps, visit the PAR-36 LED Lamp chart on the parts list page.
