An LED might need to be replaced for a couple of reasons, including:
- Burnout or failure: Although LEDs have a long lifespan, they can still fail due to overheating from an electrical surge or water intrusion.
- Flickering: If an LED light starts to flicker, it may not indicate a bad LED board, so we advise proper testing before replacement. Learn More
When using the Luxor® Controller and you currently have group numbers assigned, the new LED board will have to be assigned a group number. There are two options:
1. If you have a Wi-Fi module installed and the Light Assignment Module (LAM) the LED board can easily be assigned a group number with the fixture installed. Learn more
2. If you do not have a LAM, you can bring the fixture back to the Luxor to program the group number. Learn More
Tools Required:
- 3⁄32" (2mm) Allen Key
- Soft-edged pry device (e.g., small flathead screwdriver)
Turn off the power on the lighting transformer completely before disassembling the fixture.
Using a 3⁄32" (2mm) Allen Key, remove the four screws from the bottom of the lens assembly.
Gently remove the diffuser with a soft-edged pry device to access the LED board screws.
Remove the two 3⁄32" (2.5mm) Allen screws holding the reflector and LED board in place.
Remove the LED board by prying up the outer side, then pulling outward.
Once the LED board is successfully removed, you can perform this procedure backward to reinstall the replacement LED board. Not all boards will fit in every fixture, so ensure the fixture can accommodate the selected board prior to maintenance. Compatible LED boards for this fixture include:
